Operation Performance Highlights 2016-17

  • During 2016-17, NSPCL CPP-II (314 MW) generated 2330.69 MUs at the PLF of 84.73%.
  • Durgapur CPP-II generated 998.20 MUs at 94.96% PLF during 2016-17.
  • Durgapur CPP-II achieved lowest Specific coal consumption of 0.708 kg/kwh in FY 2016-17 ,since inception, previous best was 0.739 kg/kwh in FY 2005-06.
  • Durgapur CPP-II achieved highest Ash Utilization of 113.6 % in FY 2016-17, since inception.
  • Rourkela CPP-II generated 990.83 MUs at 94.26% PLF in 2016-17.
  • Rourkela CPP-II achieved lowest Specific coal consumption of 0.932 kg/kwh in FY 2016-17 ,since inception, previous best was 0.963 kg/kwh in FY 2003-04.
  • Rourkela CPP-II achieved highest monthly generation of 95.137 MUs @ PLF of 106.56% in March’17, previous best was 94.08 MUs @ PLF of 105.376% achieved in Jan’17.
  • Rourkela CPP-II achieved lowest monthly DM make up consumption of 0.577 % of MCR in Jan’17, previous lowest was 0.589 % in March’17. 
  • Bhilai PP-II generated 341.66 MUs at PLF of 52.71 in 2016-17. 
  • Bhilai PP-II: TG #3 recorded best ever continuous running of 352.7 days (from 28.11.15 to 15.11.16) and surpassed previous best of 269.2 days (from 20.06.14 to 16.03.15).
  • Bhilai PP-II achieved highest Ash Utilization of 133 % in FY 2016-17, since inception.
  • Bhilai PP-III generated 3651.22 MUs at 83.36% PLF in 2016-17 with a DC of 100.77%.
  • Bhilai PP-III achieved lowest ever Annual APC of 7.40 % in FY 16-17, previous best was of 8.0 % in FY 15-16.
  • Bhilai PP-III achieved lowest ever Specific Oil consumption of 0.096 ml/kWh in FY 16-17, previous best was 0.097 ml/kWh in FY 15-16.
  • Bhilai PP-III achieved highest Ash Utilization of 109 % in FY 2016-17, since inception.
  • Bhilai PP-III achieved lowest ever forced outage of 0.38 %, previous best was 0.91 % in FY 15-16.
  • Bhilai PP-III achieved lowest ever specific water consumption of 2.9 cu.m/MWH in FY 16-17, previous best was 3.01 cu.m/MWH in FY 2011-12.

Operation Performance Highlights 2015-16

  • During 2015-16, NSPCL CPP-II (314 MW) generated 2359.403 MUs at the PLF of 85.54%.
  • Durgapur CPP-II generated 968.931 MUs at 91.92% PLF during 2015-16.
  • Durgapur CPP-II achieved highest single day generation of 3.119 MU at PLF of 108.29% on 31.10.2015 since inception.
  • Durgapur CPP-II station achieved highest monthly generation of 91.328 MU at PLF of 105.70% in Nov. 2015 since inception.
  • Durgapur CPP-II station achieved lowest Specific oil consumption of 0.518 ml/kWh in FY 15-16 since inception.
  • Durgapur CPP-II station, Unit #2 achieved highest ever single unit continuous running of 227 days on 06.08.15.
  • Rourkela CPP-II generated 1012.640 MUs at 96.07% PLF in 2015-16.
  • Rourkela CPP-II, DM makeup water consumption of 0.766% in 2015-16 is the best since inception.
  • Rourkela CPP-II, monthly PLF was more than 100% for seven months in FY 15-16.
  • Rourkela CPP-II, Unit #2 achieved its best ever continuous running of 167.37 days in FY 15-16.
  • Bhilai PP-II generated 377.832 MUs at PLF of 58.13 in 2015-16.
  • Bhilai PP-II: DM makeup water consumption of 0.36% in 2015-16 is the best since inception.
  • Bhilai PP-II recorded ever highest steam export of 1277489 MT (145.4 TPH) in FY 15-16.
  • Bhilai PP-III generated 3549.64 MUs at 80.82% PLF in 2015-16 with a DC of 95.17%.
  • Bhilai PP-III achieved lowest ever Annual APC of 8.01% in FY 15-16.
  • Bhilai PP-III achieved lowest ever Specific Oil consumption of 0.10 ml/kWh in FY 15-16.
  • Bhilai PP-III: Unit #1 achieved maximum continuous days of 340 days in FY 15-16.

Operation Performance Highlights 2014-15

  • During 2014-15, NSPCL CPP-II (314 MW) generated 2429.06 MUs at the PLF of 88.31%.
  • Durgapur CPP-II generated 941.53 MUs at 89.57% PLF during 2014-15.
  • Durgapur CPP-II achieved 107.29% PLF on 08.12.2014 which is the best since inception.
  • Durgapur CPP-II station achieved more than 100% PLF in last four months of the 2014-15.
  • Rourkela CPP-II generated 961.28 MUs at 91.45% PLF in 2014-15.
  • Rourkela CPP-II: DM makeup water consumption of 0.92% in 2014-15 is the best since inception.
  • Bhilai PP-II generated 526.26 MUs at PLF of 81.18% in 2014-15.
  • Bhilai PP-II: DM makeup water consumption of 1.15% in 2014-15 is the best since inception.
  • Bhilai PP-III generated 3241.07 MUs at 74% PLF in 2014-15with a DC of 80.01%.
  • Bhilai PP-III : Coal Lab was accredited NABL certification in January 2015.

Operation Performance Highlights 2013-14

  • During 2013-14, NSPCL CPP-II (314 MW) generated 2528.8 MU at a PLF of 91.94%
  • Durgapur CPP-II generated 949.04 MU at 90.28% PLF in 2013-14.
  • Rourkela CPP-II generated 979.66 MU at 93.19% PLF in 2013-14.
  • Bhilai PP-II generated 600.14 MU at 92.58% PLF in 2013-14.
  • Bhilai PP-III generated 3627.25 MU at 82.81% PLF in 2013-14 with a DC of 96.06% In 2013-14 Bhilai PP-III was placed among top 25 coal based power stations in India

Operation Performance Highlights 2012-13

  • During 2012-13, NSPCL CPP-II (314 MW) generated 2601.9 MU at a PLF of 94.6%.
  • Durgapur CPP-II generated 952.2 MU at 90.6% PLF in 2012-13.
  • Rourkela CPP-II generated 1038.5 MU at 98.8% PLF in 2012-13.
  • Bhilai PP-II generated 611.2 MU at 94.3% PLF in 2012-13.
  • Bhilai PP-III generated 4029.8 MU at 92.00% PLF in 2012-13 with a DC of 98.8%.

In 2012-13 Bhilai PP-III stood 3rd among NTPC & 6th among Indian coal based power stations.

In June’12(PLF-103.56%) & during 1st Qtr. 2012-13 (PLF-101.67%) Bhilai PP3 stood 1st among coal based stations in India.

Operation Performance Highlights 2011-12

  • During 2011-12, NSPCL CPP-II (314 MW) generated 2652.2 MU at 96.2% PLF.
  • Durgapur CPP-II generated 1040.8 MU at 98.7% PLF in 2011-12 which is highest yearly generation since inception , surpassing the previous best of 1015.5 MU at 96.6% PLF achieved in 2010-11. All time best - AVF-97.01%, APC- 11.76%, Forced Outage- 0.56% & Make up water cons. - 1.34% were also achieved in this financial year.
  • Rourkela CPP-II generated 1029.9 MU at 97.7% PLF.
  • Bhilai PP-II generated 581.5 MU at a PLF of 89.5%.
  • Bhilai PP-III (2x250 MW) generated 3978 MU at a PLF of 90.6% with annual plant availability factor (DC) of 92.95 %.

Station achieved 105.07% PLF in Dec 2011 which was highest monthly PLF in the country during that month.

This station stood 6th among NTPC coal based stations & 12th on all India basis during 2011-12.

Turnaround Capability

NSPCL has played significant role in turnaround of the captive units of SAIL.

DURGAPUR (120 MW)-

CPP-II Durgapur was taken over by NSPCL on 07.03.2001. The plant load factor jumped from 63.47% in 2000-01 to station best of 98.74% in 2011-12. The PLF during 2016-17 was 94.96%.

 

ROURKELA (120 MW)-

CPP-II Rourkela was taken over by NSPCL on 07.03.2001. The plant load factor has increased from 94.06% in 2000-01 to 99.24% in 2010-11. The PLF during 2016-17 was 94.26%

 

BHILAI (74 MW)-

CPP-II Bhilai was taken over by NSPCL on 19.03.2002. The plant load factor improved from 88.30% in 2001-02 to 94.52% in 2007-08. The Deemed PLF during 2016-17 FY was 94.75%..
