Chapter - XII

THE MANNER OF EXECUTION OF SUBSIDY PROGRAMMES, INCLUDING THE AMOUNTS ALLOCATED AND THE DETAILS OF BENEFICIARIES OF SUCH PROGRAMMES

As such, NSPCL does not have any subsidy schemes/programmes for the public. NSPCL is a responsible corporate citizen and has been addressing the issue of community development in the neighbourhood areas of its Units, which have been impacted due to the establishment of the project.

NSPCL is also conscious about the need for socio-economic development of the underprivileged and needy segments in the neighboring areas. Towards this, NSPCL adopted the "Corporate Social Responsibility Policy, February 2011." All CSR activities are carried out in accordance with this policy.

The CSR policy provides guidelines for improving the quality of life in areas where the Company has a presence. These primarily include activities related to sustainable development and inclusive growth, and addressing the basic needs of the deprived, underprivileged, neglected, and weaker sections of society, which comprise SC, ST, OBCs, minorities, BPL families, old and aged, women/girl child, and physically challenged individuals.

Consequent upon the introduction of the new Companies Act, 2013, a CSR Sub-Committee of NSPCL Board has been constituted to plan, implement, and monitor various CSR activities at all units & Central Command. The focus of CSR activities undertaken by our Company is to include and integrate the neighboring stakeholders through capacity-building initiatives and infrastructure development.
